These studs come from the Thornage Flowers print, and they carry real colour. The silver pair is set with green chalcedony, cool and softly clouded; the gold-plated pair with rhodolite garnet, which runs deeper and warmer. Each teardrop stone is crowned with a single cubic zirconia.
Both are made in recycled sterling silver. The stones are cut as cabochons — smoothed and domed rather than faceted — so they hold light gently and show their colour rather than throwing sparkle. It is a quieter kind of shine, and it suits the season the print was drawn from.
Small enough for every day, with enough colour to be noticed up close. They work particularly well against knitwear and warmer tones.
