Three cubic zirconia sit in a short line at the top of the earring, and a shell pearl hangs just below them. It is a small piece of engineering that does a lot: the stones give the sparkle, the pearl gives the weight, and neither competes with the other.
The setting is recycled sterling silver, cool and clean against the warmth of the pearl. Shell pearl carries a deeper, more even lustre than most cultured pearl at this price, which is what makes the pairing work.
Understated enough for the office, dressy enough for an evening without changing them. They are particularly good with a lower neckline, where the drop has room to show.
